I'LL BE BACK!

I quit my job a few months back to embark on an academic learning experience, to earn a graduate degree in Petroleum Engineering. It’s being quite an adventure fitting back into the student life after graduating from my first degree five years ago. I now practically live in the Library, struggling to complete a plethora of assignments, projects and study for exams. Interestingly, most of the ladies think I am a decade younger, while I always thought they were a decade older. The stress of these past few months always make me ask a question, “Na Who Send Me Message? (Who asked me to embark on this journey?) ”.

It was in such stressed situation, I decided to cool off reading a close friend’s articles on www.tobystic.blogspot.com. It was quite refreshing, as I spent over three hours reading his writings. As I progressed on his blog, a new feeling of fear began to swell in me, the fear of visiting this very site, my blog www.wunmixp.blogspot.com. I summoned courage, and here I am writing an article. The reason I was avoiding the site was because I had a feeling of failure. My case was like a Joshua who saw the future and did not successfully lead Israel to the promise land. My past articles were going to convict me. Three years ago, I wrote about an unforeseen wave which was going to sweep Nigeria (Click to read it). That wave is the current e-commerce wave in our country and unfortunately I am not riding it. Actually I invested my savings (about Six Hundred Thousand Naira N600, 000) to start up but it never took off. I hope you now understand the reason for my fears.

Recently, I read Boone T Pickens book, ‘The First Billion Is the Hardest: Reflections on a Life of Comebacks and America's Energy Future’ (You can check it out on AMAZON) and he described how he started all over again, building a business in his 70s, a few years after retirement. He helped change my idea of retirement from the ‘No-work, Enjoyment’ to ‘there is still time to Impart’. Sure it was not a fairy tale where everything went smooth, but he gave his best, and when everything was going awry he re-energized himself through a regimen of exercise and led his team of young people to success.

Looking at my failures and Mr. Pickens message, I am certain that it is never too late to start again. I am going to try again, maybe in another form but I promise myself, I WILL BE BACK!

It hurts me, You Love It

Lokoja saga seems to repeat itself

I've expressed my dissatisfactions, but you just can't help it

Seems I'm yet again a Pawn in this emotional game

It hurts me ,

You Love it

A Beautiful Mind SLEPT in My COUCH

It all began over the phone with 'XP Abeg Call me back, Na Tipizzle'  and I did call back. Tipizzle kindly asked me to accommodate a friend for one night, after attending an event scheduled to run late into that night. He needed the attendees to take a walk with his friend who is an artiste with a Beautiful Mind.

Without hesitation, I offered my bed space at his request. Soon the Beautiful Mind and I connected over twitter and we met a few hours before the event, The Launch of Terry Tha rap Man's BOIZ ARE NOT SMILING #BANS. We had a long chat, with several breaks with him giving attention to his twitter and BBM family. I was amazed at his perspective, He intelligent, he knows, and he flaunts it

Afterwards, he attended the event, while I decided to use the bed space before his return. Unfortunately, the sleep was so sweet, that I did not notice his return till early morning. I observed one of my curtain drapes was off and stretched over the couch with someone curled underneath.
Right there I thought of M.I sleeping on Djinees carpet, and This beautiful mind's climb to the top. I thought of how he made himself uncomfortable to take a step, towards achieving his goal of being successful. I felt my slightest support will move him closer to that destination he passionately craves and you clicking on the play button below will get him there in no time. I bet you keep this on replay

I kindly ask you take a WALK to the future of a great success with the beautiful mind, David Iye Odey, aka Boogey.

here's the Lyrics :

VERSE 1 :

Stand up and applaud my fight for da throne…
..In a globe were everything ice n it’s cold.
I can prove it.Dinos died when it froze.
Wise men giving advice to the bros..
..who be heaping dat cream like ice in a cone.
man workin late when his wife is at home.
Money on his mind dollar sign in d dome..
..And the money on his mind got a mind of its own..
..And his mind is controlled.
Many men will grind for d doe..
..From d 9 to the 5.too tired(2 tyred) like bicycle chrome.
Chase cheese cos it aint never comin to d mice in the hole..
..So I’m spittin till they know a nigga nice with d flow.
Often I be thinking dat I myt let it go.
Then I be pushing it till I’m frightenly close..
..Like a player takin shots dat be striking d post.
I was good.
But I wasn’t good enough.I’ve improved.
MI put d new guy on IM2..
..Cos he ill and he recognised dat I am too.
Wanna hear d bullcrap I been thru?
No good luck.I had shoes.
Black back pack as roamed lagos wit my demo but no money to be bribing dudes.

VERSE 2:

One time for my pops and..
..Mom and they gon shine when I cop them..
..new cars and a house.Seeing they son cry aint an option..
..So they keep praying day in day out,dat their son signs on the dotted..
..Line.
How they want this?if they want rhymes, imma drop them.
Punchlines imma drop em’..
..But I’m confined to dis topic.
Back to d point where I left off.
How they never listened and told me to eff off.
I’m kinda like a prison bunk so d pun intended.I’m too hard to be slept on.
I’m d best one.
..And The rest come..
..Next on..
..D list of newcomers who gettin a response.
(Yes Boss!)
I show respect to d old gee cats..

..But I dnt expect em to hold me back
Was so upset when they told me that..
..If d doe is set and a homie wack..
..he could blow in seconds.it don’t mean that..
..His flow’s impressive.he’s only stacked..
..with a lotta doe.
I aint rich so I’m passing anoda road.
Carried a lotta load..
…on my shoulder..heavy boulder dat be cracking my collar bone..
..But I know..
dat I’m meant for the greatness.
Daniel walking into d lion’s den.I’m the bravest.
I blacked out when I wrote dis.absent minded.my head..went on vacation..
..On a lil trip to d ink drip to the Pen to d paper..
..Then to a playlist
Plus DJ Klem is amazing.
Headphones plugged in.Enter d matrix.

MTVBase Meets With MTN - Alhaji Aliko Dangote, The Richest Man in Africa

Thank you for visiting even after a long break from writing, I am grateful.

I was at a supermarket to buy Corned Beef for dinner (Spaghetti and Corned Beef Stew), when I came across a clear crisp program on SilverBird TV. A group of young people were in an interview session with a gentleman. He spoke good English to my amazement as I had thought he was just a local and illiterate business man who somehow, someway was lucky enough to become Africa's Richest. However He quashed this impression of mine. I left without seeing the interview till the end but hoped to see it again soon.

As if an angel saw my desire, I visited www.bellanaija.com later at night and I saw the full video of the interview session. I smiled because a silent wish came through within hours.
I watched it and it helped fine tune my entrepreneurial quest, and I hope to take that calculated risk soon, which is going to be an awe to friends and family.

I thought to share this with you as well and I guarantee you will be amazed and inspire by the gentleman named, Aliko Dangote.
